孔子学院奖学金汉语国际教育专业硕士招生进行中。汉语国际教育专业硕士 向孔子学院(课堂)学员,海外本土汉语教师、“汉语桥”中文比赛优胜者、大学中文专业优秀毕业生和HSK考试成绩优秀者提供。

 

奖学金资助内容及标准

孔子学院奖学金全额资助内容包括:学费、住宿费、生活费、综合医疗保险费。其中,生活费标准为:本科生、一学年和一学期研修生人民币2500元/月;汉语国际教育专业硕士生人民币3000元/月。

 

入学时间:2015年秋季,资助期限为2年。

 

招生对象:非中国籍人士,身体健康,年龄一般在16至35周岁之间(在职汉语教师可放宽至45周岁,本科生限20周岁)。

 

申请要求:申请者应具有学士学位或相当学历,HSK成绩不低于五级180分、HSKK(中级)成绩不低于50分,或者BCT(B)成绩不低于180分、BCT(口语)成绩不低于260分,同时书面承诺毕业后至少从事5年汉语教学工作。有具体任教意向者(须提供拟任教单位出具的证明)将被优先录取。

入学后第一学年结束前通过年度评审且HSK成绩不低于六级180分、HSKK(中级)成绩不低于70分者,可继续享受奖学金。

汉办将为优秀毕业生回国任教提供支持。

 

申请材料:

申请者须登录奖学金网站(http://cis.chinese.cn),填写《孔子学院奖学金申请表》,并附上以下证明材料的电子文档:

1.护照照片页。

2.HSK、HSKK成绩报告。

3.本科学历(毕业预定证明)和本科成绩单,中文版或英文版;学历证明和成绩单需要权威部门(如教务处等)盖章。扫描件、彩色复印件不予受理。

4.推荐信及承诺书。汉语国际教育专业硕士申请者须同时提交两名副教授以上职称导师的推荐信(用中文或英文书写),以及毕业后至少从事5年汉语教学工作的承诺书。

5.在职汉语教师须提交就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。

6. 申请陈述,包括申请人汉语学习背景、来华学习计划及目标,用中文或者英文打印并附申请人签名。

7. 《外国人体各检查记录》。此表格由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制,须用英文填写。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查记录》无效。

8、材料审理费¥400元(汇款¥400或$80均可,并请将汇款凭证与申请材料一同寄到。)

注:

不受理申请材料传真件。

申请材料不全者,不被受理。

无论申请人是否被录取,上述申请材料恕不退还。

申请流程

1、申请者可登陆孔子学院奖学金网站(http://cis.chinese.cn)注册个人账号,查询接收院校及专业信息,在线填写、提交《孔子学院奖学金申请表》。

2、联系推荐机构。推荐机构可以是各国孔子学院(独立设置的孔子课堂),有关海外汉语考试考点,中国驻外使(领)馆教育、文化处(组),接收院校和未建孔子学院国家的有关高等学校。推荐机构审核申请者资格、申请材料,组织面试,推荐学生。另,华东师范大学择优推荐部分学生,学生需要通过学校统一组织的面试。

3. 华东师范大学组织统一面试,面试以现场面试、Skype面试方式举行。

4.汉办将组织专家进行评审,对符合条件者择优录取。

 

入学及年度评审

1.申请单中护照用名与护照扫描件信息不一致的,或相关证明材料不全的,视为无效。

2. 奖学金获得者须根据接收院校规定按时到校报到。无故逾期未报到者,奖学金资格不予保留。

2.入学体检不合格者,奖学金资格将被取消。

3.按照《孔子学院奖学金年度评审办法》的规定,汉语国际教育专业硕士生须参加年度评审,符合条件者方可继续享受下一年度奖学金。

Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban (hereinafter referred to as Hanban) launches a “Confucius Institute Scholarship” program to sponsor foreign students, scholars and Chinese language teachers to study Chinese in relevant universities of China (hereinafter referred to as Host Institutes).

Scholarships would sponsor students, including excellent students from Confucius Institutes (Classrooms), overseas local Chinese language teachers, winners of the "Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students, excellent foreign college graduates majored in Chinese and outstanding performers on HSK exams.

 

1. Category of Scholarship and Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship of 2015 is divided into 5 categories

ü  Scholarship for Students of Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other LanguagesMTCSOL,

ü  Scholarship for Students of One-Academic-Year + MTCSOL,

ü  Scholarship for Students of Bachelor's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other LanguagesBTCSOL,

ü  Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Students,

ü  Scholarship for One-Semeter-Year Students,

ü  Scholarship for Four-Weeks Students. 

 

Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens in good health, aged between 16 and 35 (Current Chinese language teachers shall be aged below 45, and applicants for BTCSOL scholarship should be aged below 20).

 

1) Scholarship for Students of MTCSOL:

The scholarship winner shall begin the study in autumn 2015 and the duration of scholarship is two academic years.

The applicant should have a bachelor degree or its equivalent, get a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 5) and a score of at least 50 on the HSKK (intermediate level), or a score of at least 180 on the BCT (B) and at least 260 on the BCT (spoken Chinese) .

The applicant make a written commitment stating that he/she will be engaged in Chinese language teaching for at least 5 years after graduation. The applicant with a specific teaching post arranged will be given prior admission (certification by the institution he/she will teach for is required).

Scholar winner who passes the annual assessment with the score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 6) and the score of at least 70 on the HSKK (intermediate level) by the first-academic-year after admission, is qualified for continuing the scholarship. Hanban will provide support for outstanding graduates to teach in their home countries.

 

2) Scholarship for Students of One-Academic-Year + MTCSOL:

The scholarship is oriented at students from Confucius Institutes in Africa and Latin America regions, who are interested in Chinese Language teaching.

Time of enrollment for scholarship winners is autumn, 2015, and the duration is three academic years.

The applicant shall sign an agreement with the Confucius Institute or an institute he/she will teach for.

The Applicant is required to have a bachelor degree or its equivalent and achieve a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 3) and a score of at least 60 on the HSKK (primary level), or a score of at least 180 on the BCT(A) and at least 180 on the BCT (spoken Chinese).

Those who pass the first-academic-year assessment, score at least 180 on HSK (level 5) and at least 50 on HSKK (medium level) can proceed with their study in China for the Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

Hanban will support graduates to teach Chinese in their home countries by recruiting them as local teachers, providing wage subsidies, etc.

 

3) Scholarship for Students of BTCSOL:

The scholarship is oriented at students from Confucius Institutes in Asia (except Japan, Korea, Singapore, Israel) Latin America and Africa, who are interested in Chinese Language teaching. Scholarship winners will major in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (or Chinese in the direction of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages).

Time of enrollment for scholarship winners is autumn, 2015, and the duration is four academic years.

Applicants should have a high school degree or above, and meanwhile get no less than 180 scores in HSK (level 3) and at least 40 scores in HSKK (intermediate level), or at least 180 on the BCT (A) and at least 220 on the BCT (spoken Chinese). Students who pass the first-academic-year assessment with the score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 5) and at least 50 on the HSKK (intermediate level) are entitled to continue to receive the scholarships in the following year.

 

4) Scholarship for One-Academic Year Students:

The scholarship winner may choose to study in majors including Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy. The time of entrance is autumn 2015 and the grant term is one academic year with the training target for HSK level 5 and HSKK intermediate level. Applicants should achieve a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 3) and at least 60 on the HSKK (primary level), or at least 180 on the BCT (A) and at least 180 on the BCT (spoken Chinese).

 

5) Scholarship for One-Semester Students: The scholarship winner may choose to study in majors including Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy. The time of entrance is autumn 2015 or spring 2016, and the grant term is one semester with the training target for HSK level 4 and HSKK intermediate level. Applicants should achieve a score of at least 120 on the HSK (level 2) and at least 40 on the HSKK (primary level), or at least 100 on the BCT (A) and at least 120 on the BCT (spoken Chinese).

 

6) Scholarship for Four-Weeks Students

The scholarship is oriented at excellent students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) with a priority of language study and supplemented with cultural study. The time of enrollment is July to August, 2015 for four weeks. Applicants need to take HSK or BCT exam and submit a score report, with no prior experience of studying in China. Hanban will adjust the arrangement according to applicants’ language level to assign host institutes for their study.

 

2. Scholarship Coverage and Criteria

Scholarship winners are exempt from tuition, accommodation fees on campus, and are provided with monthly living allowance, and comprehensive insurance for foreign students studying in China. Monthly living allowances are provided at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month):

   a. CNY 2,500 for Bachelor’s Degree Students ,One-Academic-Year Students and One-Semester Students.

   b. CNY 3,000 for Master’s Degree Students.

 

3. Recruitment Procedures

1)From the issue date of the Procedures, applicants can log on to the Confucius Institute Scholarship website at http://cis.chinese.cn, set up an individual account, read information and introduction of host institutes and majors, complete and submit the Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Form online.

2) Confucius Institutes (independently set-up Confucius Classrooms), overseas Chinese test centers, educational and cultural offices (sections) of Chinese Embassies (Consulates), host institutes and institutions of higher education in those countries with no Confucius Institutes are entrusted by Hanban as the recommending institutions. The recommending institutions shall examine the qualification and application materials of applicants, and submit the list of recommended applicants to Hanban.

3) Host institutes are responsible for reviewing the qualification of applicants and submitting the proposed enrollment name list of qualified candidates to Hanban.

4) Hanban will organize an expert panel to make the final selection, and publish the name list of successful applicants on the Scholarship website. Hanban will also inform the host institutes and the recommending institutions, and the recommending institutions will inform the applicants.

5) The host institutes will post “Admission Letter”, “Enrollment Instructions”, “Visa Application Form for Foreigners to Study in China" (JW202 Form) and other related materials to successful applicants through their recommending institutions.

 

4. Application Documents

Applicants should log onto the Scholarship website, fill out the “Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Form”, and attach the electronic files of the following materials:

1) Photocopy of passport photo page.

2) Photocopies of HSKHSKK or BCT \ BCT (oral) score reports.

3) Notarized highest education diploma and academic record attainedscheduled graduation proof or official proof of student status. Highest education diploma and academic record must be verified by the authority.

4) Reference letter and letter of commitment. The BTCSOL Scholarship applicants should submit pre-admission notice issued by the host institutes designated by Hanban. The MTCSOL Scholarship applicants are required to submit two reference letters from professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English) and a written commitment stating that the applicant will be engaged in Chinese language teaching for at least 5 years after graduation (written in Chinese and signed). College students majored in Chinese in countries with no Confucius Institutes established shall submit a reference letter signed and issued by the university President.

5) Applicants under the age of 18 shall submit relevant legal documents of entrusted legal guardians in China.

6) Winners of the finals of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students in China shall submit the certificate of scholarship. Winners of preliminary rounds of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions in their countries shall submit award proof and a reference letter from the Chinese Embassy (or Consulate) in the competition area.

7) Chinese language teachers shall submit the proof of the length of time in teaching and weekly teaching hours provided by institutes they work for.

8) Those applying for scholarship of One-Academic-Year + MTCSOL are required to provide the agreement signed with the Confucius Institute or the institute which they will be working for.

9) Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (printed by Chinese quarantine authority) filled in English. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.

6. Entrance and Annual Appraisal.

1) If the name on application is inconsistent with the name on the attached passport scanning file, or relevant certification material is incomplete, the application will be invalid.

2) If the scholarship winner cannot register for certain reason, he/she shall inform the host institute 15 days prior the registration day with a written explanation. Those who cannot complete registration without any reason, the scholarship qualification will not be remained and no longer have the qualification of applying the scholarship.

3) Scholarships will be canceled for those who cannot pass the health examination.

4) Students undertaking BTCSOL or MMTCSOL (including One-Academic-Year + MTCSOL), shall be subject to an annual appraisal after being enrolled according to the “Annual Appraisal Procedures for Confucius Institute Scholarship”. Only the eligible students are entitled to continue to receive the scholarships in the following year.
